Brad Colerick

FREE ADMISSION!! Bring a lawn chair or blanket!

Billboard Magazine called Brad Colerick “one of a baker’s dozen of acts to watch in the folk community around the world.” The Los Angeles-based, Nebraska-bred artist writes songs that seep into your heart with a single listen. His finely wrought, plainspoken lyrics find the poetry in everyday language. Colerick’s music is firmly rooted in Americana with occasional offshoots into bluegrass and country. His albums feature guest appearances by some very talented friends including Suzy Bogguss, Chris Hillman, Herb Pedersen, Larry Klein, and April Verch. And one of his prized guitars bears the signature of Johnny Cash from their work together on a commercial project in the late 90s. Colerick will be joined at the Stuhr Museum by his ‘midwest band’ consisting of Steve Hanson on mandolin and banjo, and Jim Pipher on bass.

have maintained their distinct sound and unique flavor. The group plays a variety of jigs,
hornpipes, polkas, and reels on a multitude of instruments and mix them up with precise
vocal harmonies while singing sea shanties, ballads, and sing a-longs.
Angie Kriz and The PolkaToons

Angie, who started off playing accordion with The Leonard Havranek polka band, has a distinct love for the music and for people…expect her music to come from the heart and expect a hug! Craig is not only an exceptionally strong tuba player but also plays bass guitar with many bands, sings, and is a great sound tech. Jason brings a lot of artistic talent to the band with his ability to play multiple instruments, video making, and adding a touch heavy metal drums into polka. With the three of them together you are sure to have a fun night of dancing and shenanigans!
