L.J. McCormick, a native of Oxford, Nebraska, came to College Park after a nearly thirty year career in construction/project/property management as well as owning a custom home and building restoration company. An alumni of the University of Nebraska School of Music and Cornhusker Marching Band, he is also a classically trained trumpet player and is an in-demand freelance player, performing with top acts of today and yesterday and also many local groups. He is on the Grow Grand Island and Hall County Arts and Humanities Board, Grand Island Public Schools Key Communicator Committee, Grand Island Rotary International, Grand Island Public Relations Committee, Bradshaw Village Board of Trustees and Moonshell Arts and Humanities Council. This combination of experience fits well with the diverse offerings here at College Park. L.J. is married and has five children.
Kim Javins – Administrative Assistant
Kim Javins was born and raised in the Nebraska panhandle. She graduated from McCook Community College, attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and comes to College Park with expertise in Sales, Customer Service, and Office Management. Kim has been a member of the Nelson Fellows AmeriCorps program, Phi Theta Kappa honor society, and is currently a member of the Grand Island Public Schools Parent Advisory Council. While in Western Nebraska, she was active in the Nebraska Community Improvement Program. Kim has lived in Grand Island with her husband for 13 years and they have 2 children.
